Our Story

Pata e’ Queso was born from a dream, a family, and a deep love for our roots. We are a family-owned business created by chefs Javi and Ili and their three children, Ana, Fiore y Leo; who came to the United States from Ecuador nine years ago with nothing but hope, determination, and a passion for food.

Originally from Guayaquil and Manabí, two regions rich in flavor, tradition, and culture, food has always been at the center of our lives. Back home, meals meant family, warmth, and togetherness — and that is exactly what we strive to recreate here.

For years, we worked tirelessly, saved every dollar, and poured all of our energy, sacrifices, and investments into making this restaurant a reality. This project holds our hearts. Every dish on our menu represents our journey, our culture, and the flavors we grew up with.

Our mission is simple: to share authentic Ecuadorian cuisine with our community and introduce Americans to food that is hearty, comforting, and full of soul — the kind of food that feels like home from the very first bite.
